IT Project Recovery & Governance

Restore control and forward movement to stalled, delayed, poorly controlled, or high-risk technology initiatives.

Best fit

Organizations with a technology initiative that has unclear scope, weak ownership, unresolved risks, fragmented project records, or insufficient executive visibility.

What this engagement helps you achieve

  • Restore decision clarity and accountable ownership for a stalled or at-risk initiative.
  • Make scope, risks, dependencies, unresolved decisions, and recovery priorities visible to leadership.
  • Establish an executable short-horizon recovery plan and basic project-governance controls.

What PPS addresses

  • One technology project or tightly coupled initiative
  • Project-health baseline across scope, governance, schedule, RAID, dependencies, stakeholder roles, and documentation
  • Governance reset, stakeholder/decision structure, and recovery roadmap
  • Basic RAID, decision, and executive-status controls with one recovery checkpoint

Typical deliverables

  • Project recovery brief and clarified scope
  • Stakeholder and decision structure
  • RAID and decision-control framework
  • 30/60-day recovery roadmap and executive status model

How the work proceeds

PPS begins with available evidence and accountable stakeholders, validates the current state, defines the target outcome and scope boundary, and performs the agreed work with explicit ownership, change control, and acceptance criteria. Engagements are designed to leave usable operating artifacts and a clear handoff rather than open-ended dependency.

Implementation path

The starting engagement is a bounded recovery cycle. Additional recovery waves, recurring project governance, PM support, technical remediation, or PMO support can be separately scoped when the recovery plan identifies a justified need.

Related next steps

Standard boundaries

Multi-project PMO operation, unlimited day-to-day project management, vendor procurement, detailed technical engineering/configuration, unrelated remediation execution, emergency support, and federal representation are outside the starting scope unless separately authorized.
